After Where We're Headed, JuiceDrop was at a creative slump. Just prior, his music duo The Crime Committers had broken up due to, to put it lightly, drama. Then, a spark occurred. JuiceDrop got to writing, and while also including tracks from his Behold! The Slime EP (making that EP obsolete) put together his 8th album... well, not really.

JuiceDrop has had a lot of albums, and decided it was time for something new. He brought together his former Crime Committers touring bandmates Flair and Bradshaw to make a new album together, and created JuiceDrop & The Personalities. While all 3 produce, Bradshaw was the prime sample guy. Every sample on the record was picked by him, apart from The Impartials. JuiceDrop had long strayed away from samples, so he left that duty to Brad.

Most of the songs were co-written by JuiceDrop, with the only real exception being track 9 "The Impartials", written and produced solely by Flair.
